Facilities
Southern Tradition Dog Training Kennels; is located in Laplace, La just minutes from New Orleans and was built with dogs in mind. The selection of the property and design of the kennels were geared to provide the best care for Obedience and Hunting Retriever Training. The property provides a social atmosphere and everything needed from play-time, to our complete training programs for all levels of obedience & hunting retriever training.

One of the unique things about STDT Kennels is we let dogs play together. This is a wonderful opportunity for your dog to socialize and learn to "play nice" with other dogs. Currently we have a fenced-in airing yard where we group compatible dogs together for “play time” (weather permitting) at no extra charge to you!

We also offer medication administration at no additional charge for the canine with special needs.

Kennels
Your dog will be housed in a 4 x 10 covered outdoor run with a 3 x 4 indoor sleeping area. All kennels are made of quality galvanized fence with concrete floor. Kennels are cleaned twice daily, and disinfected weekly.

Training Grounds
In addition to the 375 acres of privately owned land. We have access to other private and public training grounds, including the Bonnet Carre Spillway. These training grounds consist of training fields, open marsh, and flooded timber.
